Student Ministry . . .

The Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church, Starkville, is a great place to be! In Matthew 7:24, Jesus talks about the importance of building your life on a strong foundation. Our goal in this youth ministry is about that kind of building in the lives of our students. We do this in many ways: discipleship groups and classes-these keep us focused on Jesus Christ and His Word; mission work here and around the world- it keeps reminding us that in loving God, we love our neighbor as well; and being together - these fun trips and activities continue to build that family atmosphere as we grow together.

Wednesday Night Foundation - Wednesdays @ 5:30pm

We're excited about what's happening with the Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church and are committed to making a difference in the world we're in by loving the Savior and being His representatives wherever He leads. Join us in the Outreach Center on Wednesday nights as we dig in to exactly what God has for us.

Discipleship

The Bible tells us that we are to build our lives on a solid foundation (Matthew 7:24) and htis our constant theme. To do that, we must know Christ and also listen and obey. Our discipleship areas range from Disciple-Now weekends, Sunday night courses, and small discipleship groups that meet throughout the week. Our goal is to grow strong spiritual foundations in the lives of ours students so that when they leave the "safety" of this youth ministry, they will be able to stand firm in their faith.

Mission Work

The First Baptist Church Youth ministry believes that being the "hands and feet" of Jesus in the world should be a priority. Our focus will always be taken from Acts 1:8, where we are commanded by Jesus to be His witnesses in our "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Our desire is that our students get out of comfort zones, become servant leaders, see the needs around them, share their faith and be willing to be God's representative in mission work wherever He calls them to go.

Special Events and Trips

This Youth Ministry believes in having a good time. If that means going to play paintball, doing crazy things throughout Starkville, playing a mudbowl, doing lock-ins...well, the list could go on and on. It is so important that we understand that we are family...a family that isn't inclusive, but one that is always looking for others to join in what's going on here.
