Senior Adults . . .

Our senior adults are one of the most active groups of the church. Several annual celebrations just for seniors are held every year, including a Valentine's Banquet and the Independence Day Celebration. We have also held our own conference for senior adults. Our seniors are active in all areas of the church, working with children of all ages in the Nursery and Sunday School, in VBS, and Extend- ed Care. Seniors are also important parts of these ministries: Deacons, Welcome Center & Greet- ers, Adopt-A-Pew, Jubilation Choir, Celebration Choir, Discipleship, and LunchBreak. Whatever your calling, there is a place for you to serve!

Joyful Noisemakers
The Joyful Noisemakers Washboard Band was founded in 1980. They meet at 2 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month to enjoy mak- ing music and fellowshipping together. They per- form at area events as requested.

Senior Adult Trips
Our senior adults go out to enjoy activities to- gether throughout the state and surrounding area. Past trips have included: The Viking Fac- tory in Greenwood, MS; a riverboat ride down the Mississippi River; Blue Mountain College; Bollinger Family Theatre; The State Fair; and a Civil War battlefield, the Noxubee Refuge and various state museums.

Sunday School
First Baptist has a variety of Sunday School classes available for senior adults. Both men's and ladies classes meet often for fellowship aside from their Sunday morning Bible study times. Come try out all of our friendly classes and find the place where you feel at home!
